I really like her philosophy about not being afraid of food. She says to taste everything, but don’t binge. From my own experience, I have learned that dieting doesn’t work, you have to literally change how you eat and look at food. The problems start when you deprive yourself of certain foods you really like because they don’t fit into the diet. Eventually what happens is that all you can think about is that food and you become obsessed with all the food on your “diet” that you can’t eat.

But if you allow yourself to have a little bit of the food you enjoy, say once a week or even once a month, it may help you to stick to healthy eating and lose weight — at least that is what has worked for me.

If you are a fan of Joan Rivers, as I am, you know she is usually hilarious, and this visit was no different. In fact, I think this was the funniest I have seen her. She had the audience and all the ladies of The View laughing. One thing she did that surprised me was when she spoke about her husband Edgar; I have rarely seen Joan discuss this topic.
